When the DA Community came together to Unban DA!
Last week in Bahrain , Deviantart was one of the Sites which was hit by a blanket ban which focused on Racist or Porn related sites. It was an order issued to all local ISPs by the 'Ministry of Culture'.
It didn't make sense why DA was included and the DA community in Bahrain along with Deviants worldwide came together to sign a petition to the Ministry.
2 Days back DA was back online!

Dear 3D Artists, in a shocking journal
The short future of 3D by `baKIN (https://www.deviantart.com/bakin) -
It has been announced that "Due to the number of complaints, inquiries and lack of community spirit and involvement from the 3D community...." http://bakin.deviantart.com/journal/17572759/ a number of changes will be brought in.
- All 3D Sub-Categories will be merged into one category of 'Digital/3D'
-This means in our wonderful DA search engine, we won't be able to find a specified range of interiors or waterscapes or abstract works etc etc. They will intentionally be merged together.
-This means "people" think a simple 3D spoon is the same as a 5 million p

Into 2008 now and busy times as usual. A whooping 2007 with too much travel. Hope to slow it this year :aww:

When in Rome ...
I know it's been a long time and no journal entry even though my DA interaction is as healthy as ever :) So away I was in Europe with my pretty wife - we just absolutely enjoyed Rome, visiting the land where Western Civilization was realized. Later it was Venice and Switzerland. :aww:
