The new DA interface has been exciting with some nifty new features. The DA team has done hard work on this, kudos.

Now on to the new News approach. I, for one, am one of those responsible yet ignorant deviant who follows all DA etiquetts and rules, making DA a friendly community as stipulated by it. I however, end up not reading the "Hot Topics" in my msg centre which usually concerns latest DA developments.

So to the main jist of this "news" - Before posting here, I look all over the page for the rules/regulations/policies concerning the News but of course I havent found it.

This probably has confused not only me but many others to post here usually inadvertently , not knowing whats suitable News or a journal Entry.

Its usually followed by replies from compulsive vigilante puritanicals -
- This isn't news, this should be in your journal!
- Uh, this isn't news!
- Interesting article, but it should have gone in your journal..
- This is self promotion!

True, some articles cannot be news by common sense but the question is "Whats News and Whats not?"

Perhaps we could have guidelines on the News Page? Maybe they exist and I havent seen them?
